clicking in child's neck

My 4-year old son got a loud clicking sound in his neck Sunday night. We called the doctor, and after hearing the noise over the phone i was told to take him to the E.R. X-Rays were taken, nothing was found. A small neurological exam was done, nothing wrong. His neck makes this noise when he nods up or down. It's a horrible sound. He started throwing up Monday. We went to the doctor. A more thorough nuuro. exam, nothing wrong. Was told it must be unrelated. He says it hurts sometimes. He fell off his bike 2 times on Saturday, caught himself with his hands and seemed unfazed. The doctor said, he could have this the rest off his life. It is Wednesday now, and it sounds the same. The E.R. doctor thought it was a muscle strain, what we were hearing was the ligament. Any thoughts. I am very concerned
Thank you

I agree, its a misalignment of the spinal column, go to a good chiropractor, ask around first, I do hope he got help, and is doing fine now

Hi I was wondering if you ever figured out
What was going on, and if the clicking was still there.
My daughter who is 4 has had the same thin now for about 2
Years.  It Doesn't hurt or bother her just makes the
Noise when she nods her head yes or no. The dr
Doesn't seem to be concerned. And we have had
X rays done and nothing wrong comes up.

Thank you

Hi,here, this may be a sign of unstable spinal bones and ligaments, weak muscles. This condition can be corrected if it is detected and treated soon enough, before any permanent damage is done. i suggest you call reputable chiropractic for a consultation. Don't worry!
