do i need a second back surgery?

hello, everybody! i had my anterior lumbar interfusion  at l5/s1 -4 month ago. pain in back and left leg is much worst than before. curently managing pain with oxycontin and oxycodone plus depression meds. last mri  says ;;there is a left ateral disc bulge that abuts the exiting left l5 nerve root lateral to the exit foramen and also granulation tissue around the left l5 nerve root ;; my surgeon said i might need a nerve root block surgery but i am really against the idea, despite al pain. if anybody knows, in situations like these is possible to get healed in time?
