excruciating mid right back pain

so 4 weeks ago i was at a party and decided to wrestle this kid, he wrapped his legs around my waist, pulled one way with his legs and pulled my upper body in the other direction. when this happened my whole spine went pop pop pop and then there was another pop accompanied by pain and me seeing a white flash. i waited almost 2 weeks and couldent take the pain anymore because this pain is keeping me from sleeping and doing work. went to the doc. he didnt do ****, said it would run its course and heal. waited a couple more days and went to the ER, i thought that it might be a broken/cracked rib that was causing the pain since its over a couple of my ribs where it hurts the most. they took XRAYS, no broken rib. so the doc gave me a muscle relaxer and tramadol. this worked pretty well. well now its 2 weeks later and the pain is still really really bad, i still have really bad interrupted sleep from this and only get a couple hours of sleep. its driving me insane and i dont know what to do. im thinking about going back to the hospital but the thing with that is i am very self conscious and used to be an opiate addict and i have this idea in my head that all everyone thinks im doing is seeking drugs. not true at all. i have not been addicted to anything in over a year. i dont know what to do all i know is this god forsaken pain is driving me up the wall, i do alot of construction work and it involves alot of bending over/strain on that area. i hate this.

Get yourself to a good sports massage therapist (they don't only treat sports injuies). Sounds like the muscle in you back have gone into spasm A couple of deep tissue treatments should sort you out.
