hern. disc causing wrist pain?

hern. disc causing wrist pain?

I've been having sudden acute wrist pain w/no apparent cause-no trauma, no unusual repetetive movement, no nothing. Just suddenly woke up one am w/ pain in both wrists, worsens w/movement like turning a faucet or burner on the stove. It becomes so sensitive that even pressure from the shower is painful. My right wrist is slightly swollen, they both hurt about equally. The pain is just the inner portion of my wrist (from base of bone @ base of thumb towards elbow appr. 2"-not flat inner portion of wrist). Since I can't think of any cause, is it possible the herniated disc in my neck is the culprit? And secondly, any suggestions to help? I have no health insurance, unfortunately. Thanks for any help!
