herniated disc - lumbar

Hi

I have had disc herniation in my lumbar and suffering pain in lower back and left leg for more than a year now. I have attached below the MRI - an year ago and a recent one.

I have tried physical therapy initially which helped to certain level but then it got worse. Then I took complete rest for about 3 weeks and now Im going to a chiropractor where Im undergoing decompression therapy which helped too initially but then the progress is more or less stagnant.
Please take a look at my MRI. I have 2 questions:
1. HOw mush have I recovered between the 2 MRIs?
2. WHat should I do now?
first MRI - taken april '09

i have tried Physical therapy, chiropractor and general pain relievers. They all had limited success.
Now I am undergoing 'Ayurveda'. Its an ancient Inidan medicine science. It has given very good results and I now believe it can be completly cured.

btw, what is a 'soft bone'??
