i am a weight lifter and ....

i am a weight lifter and ....

My lower back always has a sensation that it needs to be cracked. I have to admit I used to always twist and do it but now I'm starting to get concerned ... it build up a sensation if I sit to long. I can lift and do activities fine... any advice on what is happening other then don't crack your back..thanks.

Hi there!

The sensation is likely to be due to postural issues or continuing in a single position for long hours. However it is not healthy and should be avoided. Instead you could try improving your posture and sitting up straight or trying a few spinal exercise for 5-10 minutes every few hours.
