low back pain

by berniem23, Nov 07, 2009 06:20PM
I have had severe pain in my lower back since about April.  It is pretty much non-stop.  There are days when I can barely walk because of the pain.  I am wondering if anyone can give me any suggestions on how I can help myself to bear this pain.  Is exercise and walking good?  I know I would have to start gradually.  I would love to have some suggestions and support from others with this same problem.  I am a 63 year old, retired female.  I am a caregiver for my husband who has had 3 strokes.  I am also a type 2 diabetic on insulin.  Thanks for any suggestions anyone can give me.
