lower back and right thigh for 3 months hurting

lower back and right thigh for 3 months hurting

i was startring an exercise program at home and the first day i did lower back and leg excersises . i was fine and the next morning my lower back was hurting and felt like my right thigh had a small pulled muscle . so i took  advil for a few days and my back got better but my legs would shoot pains at night and i had to get up to stop the pain , then going back to bed i would just hope to go to sleep. the thigh muscle is not any better after 3 months. i am a 62 year old woman. would like any information that could help. i was checked by the doctor i do have 2 bulging disks on L4 and L5 , but i am waitng a very long time to get into a neuro doctor. i still do not think i have the thigh problem from the disks, i have no numbing or anything like that just pain in the legs at night and the thigh hurts the most when walking or getting up from a chair or climbing steps. Also i was taking statin drug for a few years and my doctor took me off of i have been off any statin for 2 months and that has not helped.  thanks for any info. Jude

hey jude. i dont know much about ur leg problem, but since u commented on my problem i figured id comment on yours. i do know that when i was in high school playing football, if i didnt start working out at least a week before weightlifting started you can really hurt yourself. my sophomore year i went in and just started lifting, maybe did a little stretching before hand but that was it. because of that i almost couldnt walk for 3 days, then i limped around for like 2 weeks after that. so i kinda know ur pain. just try to work the soreness out is all i could do. ttyl, Blake

hey blake,, i started singing hey jude when you wrote that lol, thanks alot for the info. how are u doing? hope that where ever you live they have a health plan that u can use to get some xrays or an mri done. not  being able to see is hard to treat. my mri showed 4 buldging disks but they are not  involved with the nerves so he is now going to do another test if my insurance covers it it is called an emg/ncv study. to see if the nerves or muscles are causing the back pain. i tried to forget about this and got out for 2 days and was walking and doing everything with the pain and it feels better so i am going to just continue on with my life and hope it just gets better it does not sound to me ( from the 4 min or so ) that doctor was in the room,,, that i have anything life threatening and no disease that i feel he acted like he was worried about. keep me posted on how your doing again thanks for the info  . hey blake, from hey jude. i love the beatles~ but my fav was lennon.
