lumbar fusion still in PAIN

hi is anyone out there that has had lumbar fusion L3 L4 L5 S1 facet jointsremoved, compression at L5 stenosis, spures. I had the surger may 24 th 2007. Well its jan and i am still in pain i am on over 200 mg pain killers. At L5 S1 its like the hardware is digging in. Has anyone had the problems.
Also how about mental problems with it???????????????

I had a spinal fusion of L5 S1 done in 2004 , and I am in constant pain, The surgery didn't help AT ALL!!  in fact it made the pain worsen.  I have been in misery the last few days and I don't know where to go from here,  I got on here trying to find out if MRI's are safe to do since I have the Metal in my back....All I know is the surgery is not worth it!!!
I wish I had know then what I know now.

I also have a three level fusion with ALL the metal (hardware). I also am in constant pain. I have been dealing with this for years. The last few years I have been having a hard time dealing with it mentally. When your in constant pain 24/7 I tend to have allot of break downs. About a month ago I saw a specialist the disc above my fusion is going out from all the stress, wear and tear , life.  He did say something was going on with the joints but I was so mad about him telling me about my disc I didn't hear it all.  and he said there is nothing  to do at this point. So, yes pain and all the mental problems also.
