lumbar spondylosis PIVD

lumbar spondylosis PIVD

(a) I used to get back pain once in a while but not regularly, usually in winter. I got a small ache on 18 Dec 08 while taking bath, but I thought it was normal and in the afternoon went for the golf, While taking the first tee shot I felt pain in the back I could not sit to place the ball on the tee, even then I tried one more shot after that I felt that the back pain has increased , so left the game and tried to take some rest. The pain didn’t come down even after a week. Took an x-ray in MH. I was advised to take a MRI.  I was referred to the Neurosurgeon who advised me bed rest for 15 days and said that if the pain doesn’t come then I need go for an operation. I had back pain, after some time I started getting pain in the right leg.
(b) It has become difficult to walk or stand for more than 2 minutes. MRI shows that I have " lumbar spondylosis PIVD posterocentral disc extrusion at L4-L5 level with associated liggamentum flavum thickening and facet arthropathy causing focal partial extradural block and compression on nerve roots with right propensity, Grade 2 posteriocentral disc protrusion at D12-Ll and L3-4level, Annular disc bulge at L5-S1 level, mild straightening of lumbar curve & small osteophyte formation.". Local Homeopathy has given me a combination of the following medicines:-
RUTA,ARNICA,RHUSTOX,HYPERICUM,SYMPHYTUM,GNAPHALIUM
Dosage of 1m six drops in a spoon of water two hourly and six times a day.

(c) I am taking this medicine for the last six days, however I feel the pain in my right leg has increased and even walking for a short distance, standing for even five minutes increases the pain also after lying down a while when I get up once again I feel the pain has increased.
(d) Is there any other solution other than surgery. Kindly help me.
God Bless
