muscle twitches post ADSF C5-6

by ADSF, Feb 13, 2008 01:14PM
I am in my third week post spinal fusion at C5-6.   I would be almost completely free of pain, except for head and neck muscle spasms and twitches I have.   They occur at a rate of about once or twice a minute.   Some are minor, but a couple of times the twitch was so bad that I yelped out in pain.   It's not the muscle that hurts, but rather the spine that gets jerked with each twitch.   I am taking cyclobenzaprine 10mg, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all.  Is this normal or has anyone else ever had this?    If this is normal, is there another way to control this?   I didn 't seem to have it in the first two weeks after surgery, but at that time I was taking diazepam instead of the cyclo.  Any thoughts from anyone?
