neck, head and shoulder pain after disc replacement surgery

I am wondering how many people out there have had issues after having artificial discs placed in the cervical area?
I am still having problems and had surgery in December of 2004.

Hi there!

A number of people do continue to have symptoms after a reconstruction surgery, though the severity is much reduced in most cases. These are usually managed conservatively and most people do well. However if the symptoms continue to be severe or aggravate further, I would suggest a review with your orthopedician to consider possible complications or further degeneration and appropriate management.
