neck problem

It feels like my whole neck is twisted over to the right side. It constantly when I bend it over to the left side. I have pressure in the right side of my head through my neck down to what feels like a knot in my shoulder. I also have numbness in the left side of the head. Any idea what this could be and what I could do to stop it? What tests should be performed. I am scheduled for a neck xray. Is this enough to diagnose the problem or do i need any further testing?

Yes it does sound like a pinched nerve in the neck to me, probably from one of the nerves that goes from the neck to the shoulder and upper back area. I have similar problems. As far as the psychiatric drug, I really don't know, just do a search on the internet for side effects from the drug your talking about.

And like I said before, I think Physical Therapy will help you get rid of this.

It could be a pulled muscle, but the numbness suggests that its nerve related. An x-ray is a good place to start and a good Physical Therapist could probably help you get rid of it.
