pain and mri

i had an mri back in 1989 and it showed that i had my L3,L4,L5-S1 HERNIATED disk and just had another one done on jan.17,2009 and it didn't show any herniated disk but i'm still in a lot of pain.none of the pain meds have helped me.what can i do next to do away with this porblem?

Hi,
May I ask...were u in an accident prior to ur '89 MRI?
I am just wondering if ur muscles were tight and pulling on ur spine...u may have soft tissue that never healed properly....have u tried accupunture?
