Just call your doc or call his answering service and tell him whats up. He will tell you to go to ER and they can call him to consult about treatment, and then you do not have to worry about getting in trouble with pain doc, thats what I have had to do in the past.

I signed a contract with my pain doctor and about 8 months after I broke my arm and the ortho doctor gave me pain meds for my arm-my pain doctor got a report and dropped me as a patient because I broke the contract, so you have to be careful!

It is a contract between you and your doc you promise not to get meds else where among other promises. You can not get meds without it at most docs

What is a pain contract and why would you sign one?  I'm not familiar with the concept.

If you listed you pain doctor as your doctor than they will might send him a report of what they did, not necessarily what they gave you though! I know someone who signed a contract also but they could go to the hospital they just couldn't get a prescription from them, however they could give him medicine there if he was in pain. I don't know if it is the same contract you signed, but I would ask my pain doctor what I needed to do if it ever came up that I had to go to the hospital!!!
