About 5 months ago my 37 year-old sister started having pain in lower part of her side, then the pain spread to lower part of her back and pelvis, this pains cause she left aerobic and cant do sport till know, the neurologist got MRI of her back and neck it was all normal, except this following diagnosis was found in her MRI:
"central disk protrusion at 14- 15 level, and posterior disc bulging at 14-s1 level are seen.partial disc dehydration at 15- s1 level is detected"
she also had blood and urine analysis test the result was normal, her kidney, bladder ,ovary had gotten checked again all normal.
then she started pain in her neck and now in her kneels.the neurologist suggested physiotherapy but it didn't work at all.
I like to know if this pain related to her bones or central nervous system or the other parts of her body?also what other tests or treatments she should do for getting rid of these pains?
only a doctor could answer your question for sure, but having bulging, herniated and blown discs i can positively tell you that it does cause that kind of pain.
i think i would see a great physical therapy doctor and do everything possible to avoid surgery. that is just me though, i fear having more pain due to the surgery. i cannot deal with ANYMORE pain. no even a stubbed toe.
they can burn the nerves, they can give epidural blocks, etc to ease the pain. the disc issues are pressing on her nerves
