post op nerve recovery

I am 1 month post op c5-7 fusion..no change in index finger pain and swelling..how long before
I might notice a change?  is there any other treatment available?  what type of MD should I seek for further treatment? Thanks

short trem recover will take 6-8 weeks,long term will take half year.
PT help soft tissue healing.

My surgeon informed me it could take a year for the nerves to heal and was prescribed Lyrica which did help.I would suggest starting with physical therapy for your recovery.I hope this helps answer your questions.

i  am now 4 weeks post op of spinal decompression all i know is that i had L4 andL5 spinal surgery and no post op advice.can any one tell me what i should be feeling
