severe back pain

I have a lot of whole back problems including DDD, spondyolisis, arthritis and 2 bulging disc.  Got copies of all my back records from my doctors.  The problem I have is in the notes writing by my Physiatrist, he wrote that there was no way I was in as much pain as I said I was in.  The physical therapist said that I shouldn't come back or do the exercises until the physiatrist decides what is causing all my pain.  What should I do?  The physiatrist doesn't listen to anything I have to say.  To see another one I have to have a referral.  How am I to get a referral?  The only time he did anything that was right was when I had a injection in my neck, they moved me to recovery and couldn't find my blood pressure as it dropped so low.  He was called into there along with 6 nurses to get it up.  Which in doing so he left several large bruises on my chest from rubbing it so hard, which I was fine with cause of what happened.  Everytime that I have been in his office he doesn't listen and he turned and pushed my head down in the back, I have had more pain than before.  Help, I can't take this pain any longer.  I am not allowed to take narcotics due to the problems it causes with my digestive system.  Does anyone know of something that I can take that will help?  The only thing I am on is Gabapentin 300mg 3 times a day.  I can't go to a pain clinic until I can afford to pay the co pay.  Since I am waiting on SSD to make a decision.  It was 60 days on September the 16th and was told that it could take up to 90 days.  Thank you for any help.

Thanks.  I am looking at getting a new lawyer.  I just got my denial today after my hearing in July.  It took the over a year and a half to get a hearing.  Not sure if that was due to my lawyer, when we got to court I found out that was her first hearing and she wasn't prepared.  She didn't say anything to the judge or ask the vocational person any questions at all.  Plus I was the one that got all of my stuff together and then had to make sure someone took it to her.  I don't know what to do.  I can't afford to go to the pain doctor as I don't have the co pay to pay them so they won't see me.  I am looking at maybe going to see Demayo Law office.  I don't know what to do.  This has been going on since I filed in August of 2011.  Not sure how much longer I can keep going.  I am afraid this is ruining my marriage.

Hello let me 1st say I totally understand how your feeling. In my case such as yours I went ahead and did some research on disability lawyers found one, I did recv my 1st denial for SSD, the attorney Carabin and shaw won my case quickly. You dont pay anything out your pocket, then they get like 25% I think of Your award, but its better than nothing.
As far as a referral if the stupid physiatrist won't give you one, play the game you call the ins Company yourself, or better yet find an md who takes your insurance and let them work on getting approval. I was on workers comp at the time. I had a stroke from low blood pressure, very dangerous and I am only 47 after my back fusion lower back 2/2013.  As far pain clinics or someone to manage your pain, when you can get to a real doctor, I pray he will be able to guide you. I honestly feel like you and I are a lot alike, but believe me girl my allergies are to NSAIDS,not narcotics without them, I unfortunately would have lost my mind, I am not proud of that. I saw Binder and Binder IN YOUR TOWN  would not cost to call them or set up a visit. Belive it or not if you get a good lawyer he can refer you to alot of different resources. I hope this helps some.
