Pt can help so I would go, a lot of other things can help too. Sounds like scaitica (sciatic nerve impingment) which could be L5S1 related. That is the most popular conclusion anyway and because of lack of MRI they are always just going to be able to give that popular diagnosis. A good physiotherapist is often a better bet than having a scan.At least they can check all of you, and hands on stuff where u can go yes that hurts! but that bit hurts more, is v v useful. Ask the physio to check out your piriformis muscle too (at the top of bum) Piriformis syndrome can be a cause of sciatica too.

Ok i will do my first appointment is next wed as of now the pain has went down quite a bit   from when i was released i was actually able to walk around some without the walker today so im feeling much better im am still taking the pain meds to help ease the pain the bad thing is im not able to work and im self employed and myself bein the only income basically because the wife is on unemployment which is not enough to pay the bills so hopefully pt will work they say 4 to 6 weeks of it. Im very thankful of your reply its nice to know there are people out there that can help answer questions thanks again helenlegs11 i will post comments after the session of pt

I hope the PT works! Don't over do it tho'. I would imagine that some of the inflamation (inflammation) has subsided now , thankfully you have improved slightly. Still ask the physio to check out your piriformis muscle to see if there is any tight, knotted areas. This muscle travels close to the sciatic nerve and can be a cause of sciatica as well as disc and spine problems (unusual and rare however) Hope you feel better soon.
