strange neck discomfort

about 2 years ago i had an attack of what can only be Described as a sort of vertigo, i was ill for about three weeks. Could not even get out of bed`i had no balance & no feeling in parts of my body. When i could get about i found that i had above & below double vision! As time has past i have had this double vision constantly, which has become almost permanent  this last few months. But know I am getting bad upper neck pain & loss of movement, i get numbness in parts of my body & restless leg. could all this be down to three whiplash  accidents that I have had. or could i have had a stroke` i say this because i get chest pain that can stop me dead in my tracks.I also get giddy spells & loss of balance. can anyone help?

Sounds like neurological problems.

What did your neurologist tell you?
What tests did he do and what were the results?

i had a brain and upper neck M,R,I, no brain problems. Did have some damage to my upper neck, when he showed me the pictures you could clearly see narrowing of the spinal sheath at C2 to C4, He said to me that it would not cause double vision` then said that i should maybe see a spinal surgeon  & said that i should try Gabapentin` which i am now on.
At one time it was thought that i might have MS! The one thing  that troubles me is that the report to my doctor had no mention of C2 or C4!! It went on about C6 to C7 which was never mentioned to me, there is another strange thing that happened to me on Monday. I had a cold numb sort of feeling in the back right side of my neck & head` which caused pain in the front right of my head & pain in my right eye, which caused my double vision to switch from up & down to side by side.
This has never happened before.
here is a list of symptoms i have & have had
1 extreme vertigo which damaged my vision.
2 above & below double vision.
3 blurred vision, sometimes in both eyes.
4 pain in eyes.
5 neck pain.
6 lack of neck movement.
7 tingling or numbness in hand & feet.
8 pains in my jaw muscles
9 loss of balance.
10 feeling like i am about to pass out, not spinning!
11 memory problems.
12 restless leg mainly at night.
13 left side chest pain which can be severe, with pain up the side of my neck.
14 severe tiredness.
15 before  i had the vertigo i had a streaming nose, clear fluid from my nose constantly for over a year!! do not now if there is a connection.
i might also point out that i have seen an eye specialist on two separate occasions`he said that there is nothing wrong with my eyes, whatever the problem is it is further back!!!!
