Hi ...I must agree and ask the same question as Kittyluv1....what kind of surgery can he reccommend if he hasn't dx u?

If ur issue is soft tissue u will not know with an x-ray u will need an MRI.

I too have had a problem with tailbone pain and found out yesterday what the problem is.

I have tethered cord and I overstrached and caused the thin layer of skin  covering the cyst to burst and that is the cause of my pain.U may want to check to see if this may be an issue since the x rays did not reveal what the problem is.

I would like to know how u make out, so please post an update!!

What kind of surgery is he recommending?  Absent any clinical findings on x-ray or bone scan are there any additional diagnostic tests that could be more informative as to the probable cause of your pain?
I would be hesitant to have surgery unless there was clinical evidence that justified an invasive procedure.
