I am sorry to hear that you have further degeneration, but hopeful that your doctor will be able to alleviate your pain/discomfort.  X-stop decompression involves using a titanium implant which fits between the spinous processes of the spinal column and limits movement in the affected area and hopefully relieves the symptoms you are experiencing.  It can be used at one or two levels and is FDA approved.  After reading the booklet and you have additional questions, please post and we will try and assist you further.
Hopefully, your cervical spine MRI does not show significant problems.  Not all disc herniations require surgery and it is helpful if you are recovering from only one portion of the spine at a time.
Keep thinking positively --- pain relief is a good outcome for us all!
