ventral thecal sac
I recently had an MRI to find out why I have constant pain in my neck and left arm. Results showed  a mild mass-effect on the ventral thecal sac on my C3 and C4,Also a significant mass-effect on the C6,C7. The impression showed multilevel degenerative changes of the cervical spine which are most pronounced a C4-C5 through C6-C7. Also showed mild central canal stenosis at C5-C6,with multilevel neural foraminal narrowing as above.
I have not seen a specialist yet. My chiropractor wants to start progressive treatment for 6 months to reduce pain and reverse narrowing. Is this a safe alternative to surgery.I want to explore all my options before deciding.Thank you.
