wierd crackling noise in the back of head near neck

i'm 14 and have this crackling noise in the back of the head near the neck. I only get it about three times a week. I get headaches alot but i have taken cod liver oil and that has helped heaps, get less headaches and they are not bad. Can these headaches be related? I get headaches at the back of the head as well but not near the neck. But is this crackling noise serious? I have read some other peoples questions about what sounds like the same thing as what i have, and that it can be related to arthritis. But aren't i too young to get arthritis? I have no idea and am scared that it can be serious. Please help me.

You need to see your Doctor and tell him all of this. He can have tests done that will determine if you need further treatments. Don't be scared, get informed ! know what your options are. Good luck. MaritimeFox

Cracking in that area is generally related to arthritis, and yes you are a little young for that. To ease your mind, why don't you go see a Doctor and maybe have an X-ray.
