Bariatric surgery and seizure meds

Hello.  My husband is being worked up for bariatric surgery.  He is also an epileptic.  Anyone out there who has had a roux n y bypass and still takes seizure meds?  Are seizure meds still effective after surgery? Thanks for the input!

I had RNY 10 years ago.  I take seizure meds, but I take them as part of my migraine preventatives.  Actually, I think they really help with keeping the weight off. (175 pounds!)
