Advice on modelling?

Hey, I'm in my teens but I've wanted to become a model since I was younger. I am 5"9 almost 5"10, although I would be a bit of a fat model at 132lbs I want to become a plus size model in two years. The issue is that since puberty I've put on some extra chub, not much, but still AND I have broad shoulders as well as hips. This sometimes makes me look fatter than I am and I really want to become a model, I also have a medical scar (it's really bad and has a special name) on my shoulder and a few on my thigh. Does anyone know whether I still have a chance at modelling if I thin out a bit? I'm not fat and apparently have a pretty face if that helps...

Just go for it. You should not have to lose weight. Models of all shapes and sizes are needed. The scars may hold you back from some jobs but they can also be worked around. Do some research for reputable agencies in your area and go for it! You should know though that modeling is a hard job. My best friend modeled for a couple of years and said it was the hardest job she ever had. She also had stretch marks from having two kids was about the same weight as you and 5' 11". Best of luck to you.

Scars on people who aspire to become models are really embarrassing.Cosmetic surgery provides a very clean and neat solution for your problem.Basing on the size of the scar, its removal and camouflage can be done without being noticed on the body parts exposed(Real assets for a model). For bigger scars in more tension areas like shoulders and joints can be removed using Z or V Plasty leaving a very thin scar line, hardly visible.Fatty areas like hips can be easily reduced by Liposuction or Botox injection sittings.Facial augmentation without wrinkles and crow feet can be managed by advanced cosmetic therapy.Angles of photography and lighting may not actually reveal your scars after surgery as the scars are clean and neat. However take a photo shoot in different angles and observe the range of scar appeared (on shoulders and thighs). If visibility of scar is obvious talk to your surgeon and he may plan the surgical procedure helping you not only to remove it but also camouflaging.Use of heavy cosmetics may not be advised to lessen scar visibility.Choose the best angles that may not drag you from getting the job as a model.More advice can be given if you will let me know about your present problem.
