Any hair colorist's out there??

Any hair colorist's out there??

Hmmm...after reading some of these posts on this forum, I'm not sure if anyone can help me...but, if you are a hair colorist/stylist, I need some help please!!!  I had my hair colored the best it's ever looked about 6 mos ago.  I called the salon to schedule an appt, and the girl that did my hair doesn't work there anymore.  I wanted to get the formula in which the colorist used, to give to my current hair stylist.  The product used was goldwell and this is what they used:
Base   6nn - 20ml   6g- 20ml  6g- 5ml
Highlights 20 vol
Lowlights  7na strong
Could someone please explain this to me...if I wanted to do this myself how do I convert ml to oz?  Help???  : )

Well I'm not a hairdresser or anything, but all I can tell you which might help a little (?) is that 5ml. is a teaspoonful. (so 20ml. would be 4 teaspoonfuls)
I would use plastic teaspoons with the chemicals, not metal.
.....? Any help?

Call your local beauty supply store that is open to the public and ask, but I think it sounds like someone is pulling your leg. Color is usually measured in ounces, most tubes and bottles are 4 ounces. Unless you have extremely short hair? Teaspoonfuls will not go too far. Usually when someone works for a shop, the formula belongs to the shop and when your stylist leaves has to leave her formulas as well. Unless she is renting a chair. I would ask where the girl went to, but again in protection of the business, they are not obligated to tell you nor will they give you a correct formula as this would be considered giving business to someone else.

teko:  No, no one is pulling my leg...this is the actual formula for haircolr.  Goldwell products measure in (mls).  I got an explanation for it too.

Thats good. Can you share what you find out! Maybe I will check out goldwell and try your formula, the colors sound pretty. Can you get it at the local open to the public, supply house?
