Itchy Scalp

Itchy Scalp

I have what is called a naturally oily scalp. This just meanss my scalp produces more oils than the average person.
In the last few years, I have been noticing that my scalp is really, really itchy. I feel like im scratching it all the time! any suggestions?

Try using dry shampoo in between washes so you don't have to constantly wash. I would assume that it could be from washing with shampoos a lot or from the type of shampoo your using. I only say that because there was a specific shampoo I used that made my head sooo itchy but once I stopped using it, it went away.

You could also try using shampoos that are all natural or don't contain sulfates and conditioners that are natural and do not contain silicones.

Look at the allergy and food forum ..it could be the sulfites in the shampoos you use ..I have just found out that Sulfites are the cause of my allergic problems

An itchy scalp can be an irritating and annoying affliction and, without treatment, can become increasingly worse. Other possible reasons for an itchy scalp could be stress brought on by exhaustion or emotional tension. I would recommend trying to replace your current shampoo with a natural one.

Find one that says on it sulphate free...there is one at CVS by Organix I have been trying...I still have a bit of itchy scalp but learned that many foods have it in them .One other thing do you color your hair the PPD's are notorious ..
