It is a good idea to take your own tools (clippers, files, etc.) with you to the nail salon.
My husband had a nail infection (that began from bruising the toenail from running) and according to the Podiatrist, he should use his own nail clippers, etc. because a fungus is easily transferrable. That being said, imagine how many people they use the same tools on at nail salons, and how many different ailments they may have!
Get your toe checked as soon as possible because the fungus can spread to your skin as well and affect your overall health if left untreated.
