Pimples after waxing eyebrows

Hi all.
I have hairy eyebrows, so I generally leave them thick and pluck away strays (i would be plucking for hours otherwise). Anyway, when i do want them thinner I go and get them waxed but I always end up with little pimples where the hair has been ripped out. Can anyone offer me any suggestions on tips to prevent the pimples? I do perfer my eyebrows thinner but its to time consuming to pluck, and I can't get a nice shape if i use depilatory cream.

hey mine do the same thing! unfortuntaely there isnt anything you can do, except dont get them waxed!

this happenes to almost everyone i know. its ***** big time..put ice on after hair removal an wash ur face with really cold water for a bit.. it may not prevent but it helps in the number of those lil pimples ..it happenes wen u wax thread sometimes even shave it *****

Sometimes the pimples can be from the cream/powder applied after waxing, to "soothe" the area.  Maybe try asking your esthetician to put nothing on after the wax treatment, or bring whatever skin-soothing stuff you use at home to your appointment and ask her to use that. I have done that in the past.

I rarely get pimples, but I still don't like the feel of what she puts on after I get my brows done, so I usually tell her to leave it alone afterward and then I go home and put on my triple antibiotic, or calendula cream, etc.

I don't know if they have it where you live, but out here where I live its called eye brow threading.  Look it up on the internet it is very interesting how they do it but there are no creams or wax no pain no redness.  Its amazing.

waxing is more painful.  This for some reason isn't.  My sister and best friend do it all the time and love it they don't pluck or wax anymore.  its well worth a shot.  I did it once and liked it but I only did it to get my eye brows shaped and I do my own after that to save money..
