Sweating through anything

by blues_buddy, Jan 20, 2008 02:17AM
I sweat an awful lot and I'm in my teens. You have no idea how embarassing it is when it happens all the time during school. I try to hide it but I can't. My mom says that it's just puberty....but none of the girls I know sweat as much as me. I could be sitting down and I have pit stains. The even weirder part is that I'm not overweight I'm pretty much the lightest girl I know. (I heard that it's normal to sweat a lot if you happen to be overweight) I have tried it all from prescription to over the counter stuff. Nothing has worked. I've used every womens deodorant I could get my hands on and I have even tried most mens deodorants and they didn't do anything for me. I need help. Does anyone know anything that could help me?

I had the same problem in school.  The best thing for me was stick with a rx. deoderant and wear clothes that leave your underarms as loosly covered as possible.  It gets harder during winter months when you have to be covered.  It really is something that comes along with puberty for many people.  I outgrew it for the most part.  Some people just sweat more than others.  A lot of times the deoderants don't work if you only try them for a week or two.  Find one you like and try it for at least 6 weeks before you decide to switch again.  And just an idea, keep an extra shirt in your locker so that if you do get too sweaty you can just change.  (and if anyone asks you can say you spilled something on it.)  It can be very embarrassing, I know, but you'll get through it.

For cases like this, Botox is FDA approved for sweating. Check out this video:

I had the same problem in school, it would force me to wear a lot of dark clothing so no one could see it or wear double layers or even have on a hoodie when it really wasn't cold. I have tried all the over the counter deodorants and nothing seemed to work. I even tried that certain dry and secret and all the ones that say doctor approved. The mens mitchum solid helped the most. During the winter I was freezing but still sweating and could never stop it. When I got out of the shower i would put powder under my arms and once i was dressed and ready to leave then I would put on the deodorant. Don't use too much deodorant either I tried doing that, putting enough on for the entire day. All it does is clog your glands and make you sweat more to free them up. If you have to carry deodorant with you. The problem is, is that you have over active sweat glands. Many people have them most in the underarms sometimes in feet hands and groin area. It helps so stop thinking about it all the time and not to stress over it. Stressing definitely makes it worse. The only real way to stop it is to have surgery, to get the extra glands taken out, which is very expensive and not really worth it. Don't worry it wont always happen, it will slow down and then soon stop happening all together. It used to happen to me the second I Put on a shirt and now i never worry about it. It happens very few times after I stopped worrying so much.
