covering up scars

by lovedove, Feb 27, 2007 12:00AM
I have scars across my forehead from acne when I was younger. and I was wondering if anyone knows of any kind of skin care that reduces appearance of them, or a good kind of coverup?
I bought some expensive coverup, but it just dried my skin out!

Any suggestions?

dermablend is supposed to be great for scars.

You also should investigate dermabrasion.

I have used emu oil for different reasons.  I did some research on the net and was surprised with all the hype, but I also noticed dermatologists recommending it for various reasons including reducing the appearance of scars.  I have not used it for acne or scarring.  I use it as a wrinkle fader and moisturizer on my face and I found it worked amazingly on a skin condition I have in the winter.  It stops the itch entirely and doesn't become inflamed anymore and doesn't leave any staining on my skin as did all the ointments prescribed by my doctors.  I got mine online  http://anti-aging.blogspot.com

dermablend is a great makeup, although i would def. try BIO-OIL. It helps reduce scars, even skintone. Its a great facial moisturizer. and its no. 1 recommended in europe... give it a shot you loose nothing.
