I have had dark skin under my eyes since I was born. Is there anyone out there with the same problem and what did you do? It looks like I have two blackBlack cohosh Black draught Black haw eyes. It is not from lack of sleep. I was told it is because the blood vessels are close to the surface of the skin.Is this true and what can be done? I am 20 years old and I hate it.I have tried nake up to cover it, but want to know if there is anything else I can do.
I too, suffer from this annoying problem, but I may have found the answer for me.
I've tried alot of products. The last thing I used & have been using is Hylexin - although, I really haven't seen a difference. I got it last Xmas - used it for 3 months straight, saw no change, and now i use it once in a while. I was told by a few doctors that it could be due to my allergies (mainly dust, dust mites)...
BUT - i've recently gone gluten-free due to my celiac disease, and a good friend I hadn't seen in a few months commented on how good my circles were, then I noticed that it WAS better. I think this has to with the fact that celiac had made me severely anemic - and I had been very anemic for the last 8 years or so.
So now - since the iron levels have gone way up - the circles are better. WEIRD, I know.
But according to docs, keeping away from any allergies you may have, or helping blood flow, helps.
I tried about 6 different creams, and they were all expensive & didn't work. The only way I could cover them was to use cover up about 3 times a day with powder to blend. And (this is really bad) I used to go tanning because you couldn't see the circles as bad if I was tan.
Hope you find a solution that works for you - sorry for the long rant!
I agree w/ the poster about perhaps having your levels checked for anemia. This can cause your eyes to appear darker. Also, a product that I found to work well is an eye brightener that has kinetin in it. I have dark circles due to thin skin and weird sleep patterns. Maybe see your dr about getting a blood test. You can always take an iron supplement if necessary.
