eye lid irritation

For the last two days i've been having problems with my eye lids being itchy and swollen .. I do wear makeup but have stopped wearing it on my eye lids when this first began . Is there anything i can put on my eyelids to stop the itching and make the swelling on down ? its driving me crazy at this point ...

sounds to me as if you have some form of contact dermatitis.  Simply meaning that there is probably an overgrowth of bacteria in your eye make up.  How old is the eye shadow/eye liner?  Do you ever sanitize the applicator?  If your make up is over six-eight months old (even if used only once) it's time to throw it out!  Sanitize your applicators after each use.  Contact your doctor about the itchiness, he/she may be able to recommend something.

It could be a form of yeast also . Try some   Lamisil  or what guys put on their feet for itching, just a very very small amount over a few days, should work. Also I would throw a way all your makeup because it could be on the make up..
I would also consult your doc.
