losing my hair

hi, iam 28 years old and its been 6months that i live in USA now. My hair was thick and wavy  and was loosing only 20 to 30 strands of hair a day when i was in my country.
But after coming here, i have started loosing more than 100 strands a day...which comes around 120 hairs a day, all happens while combing or in shower. And i see huge loss in front. I have dandruff.
The water here is making my hair soft n thin. Eventhough i use hot oil massage, my scalp becomes flaky n hv drandruff.
People say i might hv alopecia or TE and some say it might be due to water or some kind of harmonal changes happened recently in my body. Im newly married. None in my family has hair loss n none or bald too. My dad n mom still has thick black hair. Iam feeling stressed out n depressed a lot due to this.
I was using weight loss medication when i came here n food habits changed to American. I doubt whether my hair loss was due to this. But then i stopped everything now and started to have only my country food and using aloevera oil for my scalp. Will it work and stop my hair loss?

Anybody pls help in suggestions or advise..im in desperate help...

Do u have any other symptoms?  Are u Tired? Are u losing or gaining weight.  I know when u loose alot of hair it's sometimes the Tyroid Gland.  I know after I had surgery I lost and am still lossing alot of hair.  Start by visiting your doctor and have some blood works done.  Good Luck !!

I have done thyroid check and it was normal. And iam not loosing or gaining weight.

You should try working with your diet first to see if it has something to do with that.  Use legumes like kidney beans and lentils, eat plenty of dark green vegetables, and omega-3 fatty acids. Spinach, like broccoli and Swiss chard, is an excellent source of vitamins A and C, which your body needs to produce sebum. The oily substance, secreted by your hair follicles, is the body's natural hair conditioner.

Try Phyto Phytophanere Dietary Supplement - Hair & Nails or Folicure Vitamin Hair Supplement. If you take these regularly you should see some results.

I would also suggest you don't comb your hair in the shower because your hair is at it's weakest point. Don't put anything too harsh in your hair because that too can damage your hair. DON'T USE HOT OIL because it actually makes hair weak when it's so thin and try using baby shampoos because they are very light. For the dandruff you could try Neutrogena T-Gel Shampoos.

Anyways, if you continue to have problems with your hair I would go see a doctor. Hope this helped..

Thank u so much for the input... a light change in the diet and proper herbal medication helped me a lot and now im slowly coming back to normal...
im loosing only 15-20strands of hair a day...im feeling great....
