red swollen bumps on legs with pus due to leg waxing

I am a esthetician who recently waxed a friends legs. The next day she had a reaction to the waxing. She made an appointment today to see a doctor. I've seen folliculitis before and that's what it looks like. Could she have a staph infection caused by improper waxing. I've never double dip and always clean properly. Should I be worry I caused it?
