yellow nails

yellow nails

lately i've noticed that when i remove nail polish, file and repaint my nails, the bottom half of them have turned a yellowish color. they don't hurt or feel any different and nothing in my diet has changed. i read online that it could be a symptom of number of diseases or malnutrition, but i'm pretty sure i don't fit into any of those categories, and i don't smoke so i can't blame it on that. any ideas on how to turn them basck to their normal color?
thanks in advance.

Hi, it's not underneath your nails that are yellow, it's actually the surface of your nails.  It is the residue of your nail polish that stains the nail even after you remove the nail polish.  You can make this dissappear like magic.  How?  Listen:  get yourself a block nail buffer, very fine, and buff the surface of your nails lightly until the stain is gone.  Believe it or not, this method will also make your polish stay on longer too.  Hope this helps cause it's coming from a nail expert.  Let me know how it goes for you.Good Luck

Hey Mary is right its just the surface but in addition to what she said start using a high quality non yellowing base coat before painting your nails with a color that will prevent it from happening.  = )
