Thank you all for responding. I'll keep you updated.
I think any time you're thinking about suicide, even if you have no plan, it's serious. It isn't "normal" to think about hurting yourself. It's still depression. Before I got stable on meds I only got really suicidal once but I thought about it every day. It's not good.
I would talk to my doctor,,,for sure,,, about it. He/she will probably want to change some things.
I take 100mg lamictal, 200mg welbutrin, 50mg zoloft, 300mg lithium. All of my meds are decreasing since I started taking lithium.

My Psychiatrist gave me the chart. We use it when discussing my meds. It helps me understand what& why. I am on certain meds & not others, because I can not tolerate side effects of some meds the Pdoc would like to see me take. That is why it's so difficult to compare your drug (cocktail) to mine. Sometimes the meds just need to be adjusted dosage wise. I was badly depressed & I joined this MedHelp. I feel a lot better. Do you live in a major city in the USA?
If so ,check the DBSA web site. They offer free Support groups. I joined in CA & it helps a lot too. Keep posting. Let us know what happens w your Psychiatrist. Sending good vibes. Pamela.
Yes its difficult to say whether it is the medications not working
or medication interactions or a combination of both. The most
important thing at this point is that the concerns you are experiencing need
to be addressed. It would be essential to have a full discussion with
your psychiatrist about when you started experiencing depression to this point. Also if there are any experiences in your life or concerns that may have triggered this. They could then go back through the medications you were on during this time frame and appropriately adjust and/or change them so that you can have a better response within their clinical discretion.
