Anyone had this happen? Med caused....

I have been trying with my psych to get my antidepressants right since April.  All the new ones and second generation ones have given me one type or another side effect. This last one, depakoate, well, I didn't know it was the cause.  I hadn't written poetry, not really since a child. In April I started and it was dark, with each change of meds besides the severe side effects, the poetry got darker.  With depakoate...oh first I had my first terrible, scarey panic attack in my life on abilify.  Now with depakoate I told my pdoc about the scarey poetry and how freaked I was because I had never been this suicidal....no plan but the poetry, wow.  He said I was having anxiety attacks and put me on Xanax. No more dark poetry, first time not too depressed to get out of bed and clearer thinking.
Im suppose to take it when needed up to three times a day and so far I just take it once a day. Calmer.
Anyone bp2 or other bp's ever have this reaction?

I had to discontinue Abilify because it made me anxious and kept me up at night and as Depakoate generally works better on mania than depression I did find that I was depressed on it. Xanax is effective but generally meant for short term use as a person can build up a tolerance to it. Ask your psychiatrist if perhaps there might have been a cause of your primary mood stabilizers causing these effects or not working and if they could be adjusted.
