At the end of my rope

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 10 years ago and have been on multiple antidepressants/antianxiety medications to help with my mood swings.  Right now I am on 200mg prozac.  I have been on zoloft and lexapro in the past.  Everything is a temprary fix.  What meds have been working for others?  I can't turn to alcohol and self injury or binging/purging (I'm also struggling with bulimia) everytime I'm down.  It is ruining my relationships with friends and family, I have constant guilt about things that aren't even my issues.  I am irritated and hate dealing with people--and I work with customer service so you can see how that stresses/irritates/angers me.  I'm afraid I'll literally snap and say something innapropriate to a customer and lose my job.  Ugh.

It's obvious the SSRI's don't work for you, they don't work for me either. I would suggest you ask your doc about a mood stabilizer such as Lamictal or Abilify. You also may need Lithium or another drug to help balance you out.
I am about to have my meds changed because I feel much like you do, at the end of my rope!
I wish you all the best!!

Namaste,

If you sufferring from Bipolar Disorder, it seems unusual that they are prescribing ant-depressants for you ratherr than a mood stabilizer such as litium or depakote.

I would talk with my psychiatrist about this issue and back to us concerning what he/she said?
