The insert for the medication should tell you whether or not you can consume alcohol. Also your pharmacist or doctor should be able to tell you. My meds Abilify and Lamictal say no, but I splurge and have a couple drinks (1-2) once every 1-2 weeks. My doctor knows this, be honest with yours, it is a quality of life issue afterall.

It is really unwise to drink when you are bipolar in the first place since you are trying to balance your brain's biochemistry in the first place. Alcohol = depression. It also causes bp meds to not work correctly. Did your docs not tell you to stop drinking? Mine did!

I quit drinking at all, so that my meds will work. I hate cycling. I love being stable.
