Crazy?

I am angry a lot been that way my whole life. 28 yrs. I have a lot of thoughts of doing really bad things to the people close to me. Such as killing and torturing them. Why is this? What is wrong with me?

Anger management issues for sure. but, on the medical side, I doubt its really just bipolar. it could be but bipolar is more even, half and half. half anger half fine. does this suit you? i mean its not always half and half sometimes there are imbalances. but still, are you gravitating towards happiness at all?

Every blue moon I feel like I am happy and that life is worth living. Maybe one day out of a year I feel that way all others days I hate living and angry because i'm still here

I would say you should speak with a doctor right away and let them know how you've been feeling. You don't have to suffer through on your own. Mental illness is a treatable thing but you have to take the steps to talk to someone who can help you.

Well, I am not a doctor and I cannot dx you but I strongly suggest you make appt. with a physc-doc and get some help.  Being angry and wanting to hurt someone and actually taking action are two different things, however, it is dangerous thoughts because where is one's breaking point.  I know you don't want to hurt anyone or you would not be on this site asking for help.
Being Bipolar, I also have sudden and intense anger and rage...comes on quickly and and with a vengence...it's part of the illness.  Medication is available to help control this sudden rage.  I take Risperdal, one of my friends takes Busbar.  I also take a mood stabilizer to control the swings...are you on medication?  Do you have a doctor?  If not, please see one.
Another option for anger is anger management classes that teaches skills to control these feelings.  Please go for help and you will get rid of these scary thoughts of hurting someone.  I know it is scareyfor you.  Best of luck to you, Jude

I am on celexa and abilify. They are not helping at all and been on them a few months now. I will talk to my dr this month at my appt. I tell her things but never this, but I know I should and I will. thank you

Some of the antiphycotic meds are especially effective for ange issues, Risperdal is one of them.  Yes, I'm glad you are telling your doc.  I should take a lesson from you.  I just started and new physc doc and have not told him of my anger issues...it is embarrassing.  He has my medical records from previous doctor so he probably is aware.  I suppose if we aren't honest with them we cannot get the help we need.   I'm sure I will not be the first nor the last patient that has anger/rage issues.  Please write back and let us know how you are doing.  Jude.
