Depressed/reflective/

My meds aren't working tonight. NOT suicidal in any way, just feeling down. I thought I'd appeal
to my 'online friends'. Wondering if I am just feeling the effects of my fever/post-surgery
or this is just a 'down-time' in general?
Then if so, what can/should I do to rectify the depression?
I just feel lost, sad & down. Any advice or encouraging words would be appreciated! Thanks...

sorry to hear your feeling down, wish there was something I could do to help you raise the mood.My personal recomendation is go to youtube an watch some of the comedians they always make me feel better when i can laugh, also try to get some rest it may very well be your body recuperating fro the surgery. If thats the case then you do need to rest no doubt. Well I'll be here up an online for awhile longer if you need to chat or talk about anything

Like wise. Sorry you are having that down and sad feeling. Sometimes we just go thru it. Even on meds, those low times come. If you can find soothing music, that can help you to relax. You just had surgery so that kinda makes the body and mind stressed which can very well make you depressed and down. I'll be up a while, so send me a note. I'll check it for a while. RJ

I fell asleep, which was good in itself. Helps put things in perspective. I think
this is just gonna be a 'down-time', I just have to make sure to take my meds
right? Surgery went well, but I get the Home nurse to test for 'staff' later this
morning. I think that in combo with just 'life' has me stressed more that normal.
I usually don't deal well if my routine is disrupted. I want to get some encouragement
if I can from life. But, will adapt if that doesn't happen. I feel 'lost' still, I tried
emailing my sons as to how I'm feeling in re-gards to the stress of being a
a Mom who needs understanding & support from their sister. They are old
enough to help out now in dealing with her & her needs, I think. I just can't
do it all..My best way to relax is to read, but that isn't helping this time, I just
can't retain my train of thought, or I get that 'lost' feeling...
Thanks for responding! Tres

I know what you mean about life and that lost feeling. Life can have as many ups and downs as bp. Good for a while then things get rough. I just learned to ride it out by the day. For years it was not that great, actually a good part of it, but it got better in most ways, but it still has times that aren't so great. I get that lost feeling. It is like a empty hole that you have opened and just can't seem to close it back up. I found sometime if I can find something positive to do or put my mind on it helps. It is like a distraction to the mind to not think about how I feel. RJ

That 'lost' feeling I can usually overcome, but every now & then
I dissolve in tears of self-pity. That's when I write or reach out,
hence tonight..I am going to go back to bed & get another 2 hrs.
of sleep before I take my 'lil Princess to school. THANK you for
you guys support tonight, ya'll got me thru another B-P night.
That darn black dog almost got me this time! *S*
again, Thanks!
