EXTREME MOOD SWINGS

I can't seem to get on an even mood....My moods change quickly..Like in minutes at a time....I feel that i am going crazy....I'm on medication but it doesn't seem to work...i see my doctor monthly and nothing is working...What is going to happen to me..It is not normal for you to feel one way one minute and it changes in a matter of minutes all day long...The only way to get past it is drink alchol or sleep...Please is there anyone else feeling like this..If there is please tell me what I can do..I am starting to feel like I'm literally losing it.

Hi, are you seeing a doctor or a psychiatrist?  If you are not seeing a psychiatrist then I would suggest that this would be a good idea.  The medication you are on is obviously not doing its job but this could depend on the length of time you have been on it and what type of medication it is.  Are you on a mood stabilizer?

With regards to alcohol, it really isn't a good idea to use this as a means to "feel" better - you could easily become dependent and then have that to deal with as well.

Get an urgent appointment with your doctor/psychiatrist and tell them exactly what you have written on here.

Good luck.
