Yes definitely give it more time. As regarding the antipsychotics perhaps after you stabilize your psychiatrist will allow you to titrate off one. Geodon has more side effects than Seroquel (which is more effective as a mood stabilizer) so see how you are doing in a while and speak to your psychiatrist more then.

I've been on Seroquel for about two weeks. I almost quit it the first week because I was so drowsy during the day, but I stuck with it. I'm on week two and feel better, even though I think my "thinking" hasn't fully returned. I'm going to give it 30 days. The good part is I haven't had an "episode" since I've been on it. Try to give it some time.
