Full Spectrum Disorder.

Full Spectrum Disorder.  I like the implications of the way this sounds. That's how I'm considering Bipolar disorder these days.  Don't you think the way we quantify things give us a better outlook?
Now, if there were a better word than "Disorder".

It seems to me like the term "disorder" goes with "abnormal".  I don't like it but I don't see it changing anytime soon.

I've got it!

FULL SPECTRUM INTERUPTUS GENIUS.

We are all geniuses in this full spectrum, but the feed somehow gets interrupted.

My Aunt and Uncle disowned me due to the diagnosis of Bipolar.  They practically raised me and we haven't talked or seen each other since the diagnosis.  It is time for a name change!

Why in the world would you have to Say Hi I'm..... when it's not an addiction? That's rediculous. When I was diagnosed 33 years ago they called it manic depression. Talk about a terrible name. As far as Bipolar I like to address it as Bipolar condition. Then I explain that there is a chemical missing in the brain so I take medications that balance it out. Almost everyone I've told couldn't believe I have this problem(by the way is NOT MY FAULT- I have done nothing to bring it on or without medication can I stop it or snap out of it).
No matter what we call it, we have it and need to make the best of it. There is a reason God allowed us to have it and these is a purpose in all of it. God chose to heal me by using medication. Oh He could have healed me instantly but He knew what a testimony it would be to His grace that I have been stable all these years. I am grateful that I have my faith in God that has literally pulled me through when I know I couldn't do it on my own.

So all my fellow BP's hang in there. God is waiting to help you through. I know you can have a normal life if you are willing to lean on God(He can take it) He is waiting to help you cause He loves you. Also TAKE YOUR MEDS no matter if you think you need them or not.

God Bless

Full Spectrum Order, Bipolar Order, New World Order. It's difficult for me to think of bipolar as a dis order, when I don't really see much order to begin with. I see extremes in everything: finance, sex, materialism, bigotry, religious violence, all of it, so what makes BP out of order with the other extremes that are okay. They have places for greedy people, places for porn starts, places to express gluttony, racism, and religious fanaticism. Why is there no place for extreme emotions and thoughts? I've been going with Bipolar Order, which still explains it, there is just no value placed on it nor a box to put it in. Heck, they had opium dens for centuries, seems like a BP thinktank could do the world some good.
