Hiding Yourself

How many of you find you're suffering in silence by hiding things like the flu (but I include your mental illness in this question as well) only to find when you come down with what have you, because you were hiding it from the outside world, people disregard it as nothing major when it actually was pretty bad?

I found out last night that even my wife doesn't understand this about me that I suffer a lot in silence which leaves me feeling rather alone in the world.

I agree maybe you should go to a therapist together. I think maybe your relationship could improve if she learned more about your ilness.

Perhaps you could discuss these concerns with a therapist together. I did that one time and found it to be of help.

I'm starting to feel like she thinks I'm some kind of automaton that lacks feelings with how when I was so sick a while back I was extremely sore all over and had a crap load of other symptoms she just called me a princess for wanting a ride home from our walk and needing to sleep.
