Is there any antipsychotic that doesn't make you gain weight?

I have bipolar 1 with psychotic features. Is there any anti psychotic that doesn't make you gain weight?
I am on risperdal consta 25 mg, and I have gained 35 pounds in 10 months.  I am not on any other medication, and yet I keep on gaining weight.  Does all the anti psychotic make you gain weight?  Is there any anti psychotic that doesn't make you gain weight?

If you've only gained 10 pounds on the geodon and it coincides with you beginning exercise, it could be just the muscle gain. Most people gain weight when they first start working out. this is because muscle weighs more than fat. I'd give give geodon  a month or two more before dismissing it or ask someone at the gym how much you can expect to gain from your exercise regimen and for how long. I wish you luck. I loved seroquel, but I gained roughly 35 pounds in 4 months. When my doctor told me the weight gain would never taper off I asked to be taken off. I'm in search of the magic anti-psychotic as we speak.

I just started geodon. I felt great but I've gained about ten pounds. I don't get it. I started going to the gym and countin calories and I've gained ten pounds. The whole reason I agreed to try this was because it was supposed to be weight neutral. Maybe it's just a coincidence or maybe I'm just getting used to it and retaining water? I gained 60 pounds in three months on zyprexa, 30 on depakote and 40 on seroquel. I lost some of it  immedediately by working out, but am still fifty pounds over weight many years later. I sympathize.

All antipsychotics CAN make you gain weight, but some are worse than others.  Geodon is supposed to be weight neutral, and Abilify mostly weight neutral (won't make you gain or lose).  Saphris has gotten a lot of good reviews in the weight department, and I believe Latuda has as well, but these are both still brand only, which might affect insurance coverage (and will affect cost).

Unfortunately, there's no way to know for sure if a med will cause you problems without trying it first.  If you need a high strength AAP and are afraid of weight gain, there's some (mixed) evidence that the dissolving wafer form of Zyprexa--Zydis--involves much less weight gain than the traditional pill.

The first generation antipsychotics don't usually come with weight gain, and may be a good option for you.  They come with a higher risk of movement disorders, but the more I read about the metabolic risks with the AAPs, the better the first generation ones sound.
