Is this a mood disorder?

I have a feeling I could be Bi-Polar, but imma not sure... Well, I know it runs in my family, and I'm experiencing the common rapid mood swings... But my mom thinks iv only been thisway since I started with my boyfriend, but I was like this long before him...
It started when I was young in highschool, I would run out of class crying, then in a couple of minutes be deadly angry at nothing... But it's gotten worse since I got with my bf. At one moment I can be on cloud nine, then in a couple of seconds I can be in my room crying... Then be  in a wierd, over hyperactive mood... It's horrible, and I hate how I can be happy, then in a couple of seconds feel so miserable and down that I start to contemplate suicide... Can anybody help me?!

Look into borderline personality disorder too.  I've known a few people with it and they have been that way.  One was a roommate and it was kind of as you described.  One minute she was so happy and then the next she is SO mad at me over something that I did or didn't do.  She had borderline personality disorder.

I would recommend talking to your doctor or a psychiatrist.  They should be able to help (make a diagnosis or point you in the right direction).

If you are feeling suicidal then you should seek help as soon as possible.
