Less effective Birth Control as a side effect?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

What birth control pills/injections/implants are effective with Trileptal?

I just start trileptal two weeks ago, I have always taken birth control and never had a problem but I strongly dislike condoms..... please help.

Maybe if you just had advice about where I could go to find out this information. I pay over $150 just to speak with my psychiatrist and we don't have another appointment for 2-3 weeks. I was hoping to figure this out soon. Any info now would help.

There are some types of meds that can effect your birthcontrol. Since we are not doctors or pharmacists it is hard to say. Best thing you can do if call your pharmacist and tell them which birth control and which med and see if it will. I hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the suggestion. I went to Planned Parenthood and spoke with a doctor there. She said that there are not going to be any pill birth controls that will not be affected. But and IUC such as Mirena is not affected by the medication. It will be painful to place but no babies so that is good.
